The Riverside County IHSS Public Authority supports people who are already approved for IHSS and caregivers who want to enroll as IHSS providers. It operates a caregiver registry, provider enrollment, training, and support. The Public Authority does not decide whether a person qualifies for IHSS, does not guarantee a caregiver match, and does not guarantee payment to a family caregiver.
Riverside County In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) may authorize in-home help for eligible older adults and people with disabilities who can remain safely at home with support. A county social worker decides eligibility, covered tasks, and authorized hours after an application and assessment. Approval is not guaranteed, and IHSS is not automatic payment for a family caregiver.
